Whoops, I tried to respond to your question about "what brought a book on" and I think it sent before I was done clattering the keys here.
Anyway, I had my proposal accepted to write a regional guidebook to Ohio homeschooling--activities and other opportunities. That would form a template for the other 49 states, I'd find field researchers to complete the activity portion of those books and we'd have 50 state guidebooks plus a website I was developing. The publisher, Home Education Magazine, and I have had a difference of opinion on the direction these books should go. Rather than put out a marginal sort of book, I've revised the entire project and am starting from scratch with only a few months left on the contract. Hence, a scramble!

Hi Lisa,

Thank you for your kind email last month! I have been so far behind on everything, and haven't had a chance to respond. I

I am still working on the newsletter, so I had better get back to work. Great to hear from you!

"If I had the influence with the good fairy who is supposed to preside over
the christening of all children, I should ask that her gift to each child in
the world be a sense of wonder so indestructible that it would last
throughout life, an unfailing antidote against the boredom and
disenchantment of later years, sterile preoccupations with things that are
artificial, the alienation from the sources of our strength."
